JOB SUMMARY
The Project Assistant and Drafter is a combination of administrative and technical duties. The role involves supporting project managers, using CAD software to create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with the project requirements. While also providing administrative support for project coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting:
o Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
o Collaborate with engineers and others to translate design specifications into drawings.
o Ensure and adherence to project specifications, review and revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
o Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
o Maintain d records of all drawings and revisions.
• Project Support:
o Assist project managers with administrative tasks, including scheduling, organizing documents, maintaining project files and coordinating meetings.
o Track project timelines, progress, budgets, material orders as well as documentation.
o Communicate with team members, clients, vendors, contactors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
• Other Responsibilities:
o May assist in preparing presentations and visual aids for project meetings.
o May conduct research to gather necessary information for drafting projects.
o May and maintain drafting logs and records.
o May participate in field visits to gather measurements and notes.
Requirements:
• Education: Some university education preferred or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience: 3+ Years in same or similar role.
• Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• CAD Proficiency: Proficient in using CAD software for drafting and creating technical drawings.
• Drafting Skills: Ability to create accurate and detailed drawings based on project specifications.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding engineering plans and schematics.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage project documentation and coordinate activities.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with different individuals.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions within project constraints.
• Software: Must have experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Other Requirements:
o Must have a valid driver’s license.
o Organized, detail oriented, punctual, and professional.
o Ability to work under pressure, to ensure deadlines are met, and is self-motivated.
o The ability to interpret and solve problems using instructions or diagrams.
